Self-introduction
I work as an oral pathologist in the Hiroshima University Hospital. My research focuses on oral/head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, salivary gland tumor, odontogenic tumor, sarcoma. I try to clarify the mechanism by which their genetic alterations and aberrant signaling pathway causes carcinogenesis or cancer progression, which are expected to yield a novel therapy for the patients with cancer. I mainly focus on the Hippo pathway and mTOR pathway, as well as tumor-immunity, using various approaches including molecular pathological, molecular biological, bioinformatics, mouse genetics etc.
