自己紹介
データの中に潜む潜在的価値を発掘する「データマイニング」の研究に取り組んでいます．データマイニングは90年代後半に当時IBMの研究者だったラケッシュ・アグラワル博士により考案されました．その後，この技術は研究としてもビジネスとしても急速に発展し，今日のAI技術，電子商取引システムを支えています．私は当時，日本IBMの研究員として日本で最初のデータマイニングプロジェクトに加わり，以来，その基礎研究と普及に携わってきました．とくに位置情報を含むパターン発掘，プライバシーに配慮した分析手法などを得意としています．
