専門分野は音声学と音韻論、特に言語の「強弱」に興味を持っています。いろいろな言語がどのように異なる方法（声の高さ、長さ、大きさなど）を用いて強弱を表現するか、また、外国語を勉強する際にそれらの音声特徴がどのように影響し合うかについて研究しています。
