自己紹介
漢方医学は、古代中国医学が起源ではありますが、１５００年以上の歴史を持つ日本の伝統医学で、日本で蓄積された臨床経験をもとに独自の理論が形成され発展してきたことから、日本人に適した伝統医学といえます。漢方医学には、湯液（漢方薬）、鍼灸、按摩が含まれます。特に漢方薬は、昭和中期から保険医療に組み込まれています。日本は伝統医学と現代医学の両方の視点で患者さんの訴えを診る世界で唯一の伝統医学先進国と言えます。しかし同じ病名でも、個人によって適する処方が異なったり、その効果が多様であることから、理解が難しい、エビデンスが不十分であるというご意見もあります。患者さんに効果的な漢方治療を安全に行うためには、漢方医学をきちんと習得した人材の育成と、効果や安全性を明らかにする研究を続けることが必要です。我々が行う教育と研究が、患者さんのお役に立てるように全力を尽くしたいと思います。
