研究テーマは医療経済学で、特に異なる社会経済的背景における疾病負担と健康行動パターンの変化を調査することである。感染症やライフスタイル（喫煙など）など、予防可能な原因に起因するがんのコストを推定している。また、さまざまな理論モデルを応用して、金融知識が健康行動にどのような影響を与えるかを検証している。
