少子高齢化や人口減少、経済の停滞によってもたらされる日本各地の農村地域の衰退は、世界中の国々がこれから直面しうる問題です。私の研究は、新しい革新的な産業やアートイベント、またはクリエイティブな観光を日本の農村地域に導入し、地域の活性化を促す方法に焦点を当てています。
