自然物質およびそれらの農業および人間の健康保護への応用に焦点を当て、 具体的には糖尿病、肥満、 がんなどの慢性疾患の予防に関して研究しています。 さらに、 メタボロミクス研究を行い、さまざまな気象条件や環境圧力下での作物品種の反応メカニズムを解読しています
