  2. Some Examples of Research and Application of Complex Systems Theory, Takao Ito, Henan Polytechnic University, 2017/04/05, With Invitation, English, Henan Polytechnic University, Henan Polytechnic University, Non-linear systems differ from linear systems. Traditionally, most non-linear systems can be approximated with linear systems, significantly simplifying the analysis. But complex systems are considered as more effective tools to represent organized but unpredictable behaviors of natural systems that are considered fundamentally complex. Some basic conception including chaos, automaton, fractal and percolation will be introduced. And a couple of examples of empirical studies such as connection law and velocity will be explained and they will help you better understand the real meaning of complex systems approach.
