- My field is international law, and my work rests fundamentally on the doctrinal interpretation of positive law. The subjects I have treated in my scholarship include refugee protection, the international protection of human rights, human security, international cooperation in legal and judicial development assistance, and defence strategy. Before taking up my present post here in August 2026, I pursued my research at the University of Tokyo, the National University of Mongolia, and the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.
