- Dr. Kimbi Sharon Bih is a Cameroonian environmental scientist specializing in water resources management, hydrological modeling, and the impacts of climate and land use changes on water quality. Her research also addresses the challenges posed by depopulation and aging populations, particularly in rural and agricultural communities, where these demographic shifts significantly affect groundwater quality and resource sustainability.
Dr. Kimbi earned her Ph.D. in Integrated Arts and Sciences from Hiroshima University, focusing on human impacts on groundwater resources in mountainous catchments. She collaborates internationally on research projects, applying multidisciplinary approaches such as advanced hydrological modeling, isotopic techniques, and GIS-based spatial analysis.
At Hiroshima University, Dr. Kimbi conducts research activities, trains graduate students, and fosters innovative approaches to environmental science. Beyond academia, Dr. Kimbi is an advocate for sustainable development and has actively participated in humanitarian and environmental conservation initiatives in Cameroon and Japan.
