Self-introduction
Hiroshi Fukuoka received PH.D. Degree from The University of Tokyo in 1996. He joined the Professor Yamanaka group at the Hiroshima University as an Assistant Professor in 1996. He currently belongs to the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering at Hiroshima University. His research area includes inorganic chemistry, high-pressure chemistry, crystallography, and functional material science. His research focuses on superconductors having highly covalent networks such as clathrate and skutterudite compounds. He also studies a new type of proton conductor for the use of fuel cells.
