Self-introduction
My research fields are geophysical fluid dynamics and physical oceanography. In recent days, I am studying the influences of the Kuroshio on coastal oceans (especially, Kuroshio warm water tongues and kyucho), tidal mixing and tidal fronts, the influences of ageostrophic, unbalanced disturbances on the inverse cascade process of energy in geostrophic turbulence. My main method of research is numerical procedures using relatively simple numerical models in order to understand underlying physical processes and mechanisms of above oceanic phenomena.
