地球温暖化現象を理解し、高精度な近未来予測を目指した研究活動を行っています。 1．近代期（NEO)の人為起源による地球温暖化現象下で、 今、何が起こっているのかを理解する 2．地球史における大規模な生物絶滅危機から、 過去（PALEO)の地球温暖化現象下で何が起こったのかを​理解する １と２を繋ぐことで、地球温暖化現象をより深く理解できると考えています。
