広島大学HiSORを含めた放射光加速器では高速移動する蓄積電子が残留ガスと衝突して減衰することがないよう超高真空環境が要求されます。また発生する放射光の指向性が極めて鋭いため狭小箇所に集中する膨大な熱負荷を安全に処理し、実験者が必要とするサイズに放射光を切り出して提供する仕組みがあります。そのために必要な真空技術および放射光ビームライン・フロントエンドの要素技術開発を専門としています。
