自己紹介
　平成元年に広島大学を卒業し、広島大学第二外科に入局後、5年間の外科研修を行い、広島大学第一生化学の菊池章教授（現、大阪大学分子病態生化学教授）の指導の下、低分子量GTP結合蛋白質のRASのシグナル伝達機構に関する研究を行い博士課程を修了しました。その後、米国ミシガン大学内科学Division of Molecular Medicine and GeneticsのEric R. Fearon教授の指導の下、Post-doctoral fellowとして8年間、大腸癌関連遺伝子ならびに大腸癌疾患モデルマウスの研究に従事しました。平成18年に帰国後、広島大学病院や呉医療センターに外科医として勤務するとともに、大腸癌関連遺伝子の研究を継続しつつ遺伝性大腸癌症候群の診療と研究を行いました。 　平成31年4月、広島大学病院遺伝子診療部特任教授に着任後、がんゲノム医療の院内体制整備を行い、令和元年９月に広島大学病院が「がんゲノム医療拠点病院」に指定されました。令和２年１月より遺伝子診療科特任教授として、広島大学病院でエキスパートパネルを開始しました。 　令和３年４月１日付にて広島大学病院遺伝子診療科教授を拝命致しました。ゲノム情報に基づいた医療は急速に拡大傾向ですが、同時に遺伝子診療リテラシーの醸成は急務であり、令和３年度より「認定遺伝カウンセラー養成課程（博士課程前期）」を設置し人材育成に着手しています。
