Self-introduction
I (Professor Sugiyama) have studied on the self-resistance mechanisms in antibiotic-producing actinomyces during 40 years. My boss, who had employed me as a assistant professor, has always encouraged me at the following phrase: "If you will continue the study for 10 years, you will be an expert at the microbiology field. Furthermore, if you will continue the study as your lifework, you will become an authority at the scientific field.
