Self-introduction
He is a full professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering Program at Hiroshima University. He received his B.Eng., M.Eng., and D.Eng. from the University of Tokyo in 2000, 2002, and 2005, respectively. His research interests include shear failure of reinforced concrete structures, quality control of new concrete materials, durability assessment of existing concrete structures, physicochemical properties of cement-treated soils for ground improvement, and cement-bentonite interaction for nuclear waste management.
