Self-introduction
Hiroshima University was the first university in the world to be established on the site of the atomic bombing. The mission of Hiroshima University is to create a new philosophy of peace science, "Science for Sustainable Development. Since 2011, based on the experience of reconstruction support after the atomic bombing and the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station accident, Hiroshima University has established the "Phoenix Leader Education Program (Hiroshima Initiative) for Renaissance from Radiation Disaster", a doctoral education program that aims to foster human resources capable of leading reconstruction efforts based on transdisciplinary knowledge in various fields such as medical science, social science, and environmental science. This program aims to develop global leaders who can play an important/active role. By supporting the planning, management, and evolving/expanding of this program, I would like to aim to contribute to the mission of Hiroshima University and the well-being of humanity by "producing leaders in the field of radiation disaster recovery who can play an active role.
